Etiqa Philippines sponsored a Speech Therapy Camp last October 19 at the Craniofacial Center in Sta. Mesa, Manila for 15 recovering cleft patients. Volunteer Etiqa Philippines employees each adopted a child for the day’s games, fun activities, and lessons with the Craniofacial Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. speech therapists and trainers.
This camp aims to help cleft palate patients produce speech sounds clearly after they have healed and recovered from surgery.
The CFFP is a non-stock, non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-government organization that provides free surgeries, rehabilitation, and training to patients with oral and maxillo-facial and craniofacial anomalies and communicative disorders.
Also among the day-long activities were seminars for the parents of the cleft patient children on the proper speech exercise techniques that they can practice with their kids at home in order to help continue the recovery of the patients.
This is a continuation of Etiqa’s partnership with CFFP to help Share the Gift of Smile by improving the lives of these children and their families.
