At a Glance

The Prosperity Plus is a single-pay peso denominated life insurance and variable unit-linked investment plan which allows you to participate in a broad array of professionally managed fund by global Fund Managers. This plan may be customized and changed over time depending on the insured’s changing needs.

Eligibility and Coverage

  • Individuals from 0 to 70 years old may apply.
  • Single-pay variable life contract.
  • May be issued with or without the Guaranteed Insurability Offer (GIO*).
  • Plan currency is in Philippine Peso (PhP).

*Guaranteed Insurability Offer (GIO) allows the application to be issued without medical examination but is subject to certain limits, conditions and underwriting guidelines.

Investment Funds

ETIQA PH Peso Equity Fund This fund’s investment objective is to achieve growth through capital appreciation. This fund seeks absolute returns through long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in listed and non-listed equity securities of Philippine companies. ETIQA PH Peso Balanced Fund This fund is designed to seek total return through current income and long-term capital growth by investing in listed and non-listed fixed income and equity securities of Philippine companies and debt obligations of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and its instrumentalities. ETIQA PH Peso Fixed Income Fund The objective of the fund is to maximize the total return of a fixed income portfolio, to achieve capital gains while maintaining a level of current income consistent with the maintenance of principal and meeting of liquidity requirements. ETIQA PH Peso Global Tech Feeder Fund The fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing all or substantially all of its assets in a collective investment scheme that invests principally in equity securities of companies throughout the world that derive or benefit significantly from technological advances and improvements. ETIQA PH Peso Asia Equity Dividend Paying Fund The fund seeks to achieve long-term capital growth by investing all or substantially all of its assets in a collective investment scheme that invests principally in equity securities of companies in the Asia Pacific region (excluding Japan).

Policy Termination

The Policy shall automatically be terminated, and all benefits end on the occurrence of the following:
  1. Upon the death of the insured.
  2. Termination date as shown on the contract.
  3. Upon the withdrawal of units on the investment linked to the policy contract.
  4. Account Value becomes insufficient to pay applicable charges.

Policy Charges

  1. Premium Charge An initial charge of 3% of the Single Premium will be levied upfront before allocation of the balance to the underlying investment fund. This charge should also apply to Top-up premiums.
  2. Insurance Charge One-year term insurance premium per 1000 of net amount at risk.
  3. Administrative Charge An annual fee of six hundred pesos (P600) plus 1% of the account value shall be imposed on and deducted from the Account Value (AV). It is deducted on the same day as the effective date.
  4. Fund Management Charge A fund management charge shall be applied for managing the investment fund. The Fund Management Charge is imposed on and deducted from the investment fund.
  5. Surrender Charge A surrender charge that is equivalent to a percentage of the surrendered amount is applicable to full withdrawals from the Account Value before the Termination Date. The said charge will be deducted from the amount that will be withdrawn.
  6. Partial Withdrawal Fee Withdrawal charges will be applied on the amount that will be withdrawn prior if the withdrawal will be made within five (5) years of policy effectivity date.
  7. Fund Switching Fee A charge of PHP200 in excess of two (2) free switches per year will be charged if the insured transfers funds from one fund to another or a combination of funds.
  8. Fund Allocation Fee A charge of PHP200 in excess of two (2) free switches per year will be charged if the insured transfers funds from one fund to another or a combination of funds.
  9. Loyalty Bonus This is given at the end of the 10th Policy year and every 5 years thereafter. It will be in the form of additional units to the policy. This is not guaranteed and will depend on the Company’s performance.
